This train should be extended to Calicut

Agreed but it definitely needs speeding up so that the rake returns back to its base station i.e. TVC.
One way could be to eliminate rake reversal at ERS. As it halts at ERN, ERS halt could be removed...

TVC to CLT is good suggestion,but it should been provided more reserved coaches including CC too.
Speeding up also should be done. Otherwise the journey will like a hell.

welcome move. Adding an additional rake (as it cannot return to TVC with same timings), a new Calicut-Alleppy/Kottayam/Ernakulam Intercity can be planned (Coimbator-Mangalore is there in the morning, so ERA/ALLP-CLT would be a good choice and would help in reducing some load from Venad and Parasu)
