Pathetic.... This is a classical case how badly a train is treated in its own jurisdiction??. Had a wonderful run upto MGS and then the ordeal starts ...:-(

once a train hasnt departed Katihar,then is upto ECR....ECR is its own jusrisdiction? Does the train belongs to ECR?
waise after NJP,it goes straight to NCB...had it been taken the longer stretch,could've further delayed by 3 hrs or more...

Post KIR, the train gets delayed from four hrs to six hours.....and this is the NFR jurisdiction. Both ECR and NFR are equally responsible..

Jalpaiguri New Coochbehar->63 kmph(Single Line)
New Coochbehar New Bongaigaon->59.06 kmph(77% Double Line)
New Bongaigaon Baihata->36.47 kmph(Single Line)
Consider avg speed in ECR Double Line & NFR Single Line section...analyze properly & then reply...you're not a child just to go with delay as per scheduled TT without considering whether section is Single Line/Double Line...you're a responsible IRI admin who is expected to have in depth knowledge of when & why a train can delay..

Post Katihar train gets delayed from 5 Hrs to 6 Hrs...i.e. only 1 Hr delay occured over NFR...for remaining 5 Hrs ECR is responsible...55 mt stoppage @ KIR is almost always Customary for many trains which switch over from SPJ Division to KIR Division...

The facts and figures presented by you contradict of what you have stated. Single and double lines make a difference to the speed of the trains, but then any observation, cannot be seen in isolation. Yes MGS-PNBE is double line, but then it also sees heaviest of traffic along with bunch of Rajdhanis passing thru it. All i wanted to highlight the priority this train is being given on his own jurisdiction. This train is one of the most prestigious train of NFR and should be given high priority there. Single and double lines dont make much of difference, if the zone is well managed. IF single lines are big problems, then all the trains in KR would been running late everyday, which is not the case. This train although belonging to NFR always has a brilliant run in CR territory, but then starts deteriorating after that.

figures about single line is also bereft of truth, as i have personally seen many stretches between Begusarai and NNA are managed on single tracks, because of operational constraints.
