Most probably it will continue in existing route with additional stoppages. Alternatively one minister has recently asked for ernakulam-bangalore duronto...so dont know maybe that could also be considered.

Well there you have the answer..Southern Railway will discontinue the Duronto trains to Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram due to low patronage, and plans to introduce regular express trains on the route. The details mentioned in the article which means it would continue to run in existing route.

I am confused, this is Duronto rake and how can it be used as a GR rake. Using NZM GR rake is justifiable. Its enough if they re-paint it and run it as a regular SF, revenue will pour in.
