MailguardSG25~ 24054 blog postsWe know that Bihar & Bengal has the highest population density in the country with 1109 & 1087 people living per sq km respectively & thus always been able to hold a key position in terms of Rly infrastructure development...These two states has the highest track km/sq km population area but still Bihar is in the upper edge & has more infra development in rlys...Reason is a large portion of these two states has been Single Line & density of goods train also very high.So whenever a passenger train is loop lined to through pass a freight people of Bihar never protests & accepts the delay & operational preference..But that has not been the case with Bengal...even if trains are delayed by few mins, people dont even think twice before vandalizing Rly property & thus Rly has to forcefully give first preference to pass trains & then goods...So due to operational reason...

this train has been highly popular and since its inauguration has been highly successfull..... people are now increasingly depending on train in this region and that is a great thing to look forward to......but there should be a increased level of awareness among the people.......programmes like rail weeks can be announced and there should be a presence of railway authorities in the train.....all the DEMUs are doing a tremendous job and the scenario of intercity travel has changed....just feel that doubling of NCB-NJP section is THE solution to every problem.....
DEMUs are the biggest failure....ICF Perambur has developed the worst thing by the name of DEMU....All the DEMU's have very high rate of loco failure...ask the local commuters...intercity loco's(WDM-2B) fails once/twice in a year...but DEMU loco's fails every week...thats why NFR has now permanently attached a Siliguri WDP-4 to popular DEMU such as 75715/16 because there is no gurantee of its loco...DEMU Loco's should have been designed in Varanasi instead of Perambur
yes loco failure has become a regular affair now........needs to correct it..........the very purpose of DEMUs of quick acceleration is not achieved in NCB NJP section......what about the performance of demus in dooars route, balurghat, radhikapur and ring rail
