my experience in MURI sl class b/w ASR - JAT (November month ... non fog peroid ):
1. cleanliness of toilets/basin = 0/10 .... in-spite of 20 min loco change halt at ASR ... no water in dirty toilets till jammu (which were probably last cleaned 48 hrs back in TATANAGAR itself) ...one could not stand near exit for door plating.. stench was that bad.
my tip ... avoid getting berths near exits 1-8/66-72 in sl class

crowding in sl class = 8/10 ... in-spite of the fact that runs as a day time passenger between asr and jammu stopping at every damn stn... there was minimal disturbance by mst/enroute pax in sl class ... this train has bad reputation when it comes to punctuality.. that regular oax on the route opt for buses etc ...than try their luck waiting for it. LOL
3. rake condition = 1/10... 40? yr old (when train was flagged off)...the officer who certified the boogie fit for pax travel should be fired .... paneling had holes/absent at places!!... and one could see internal wooden structures especially where berths were connected to the main body/partitions..BRAZEN BOLD ARMIES OF COCKROACHES OF ALL SHAPES N SIZES...were busy crawling up n down the wall from those cavities and some daring ones even on ur berth and occasionally on ur holy self!! imagine lying on such a berth and and some inches from ur face ..from the cavity in the wall ... a family of roaches ...staring right back at u ... I pity pax who has to make an o/n journey in such a boogie. ..the sticker near toilet mentioned ..the boogie had been subjected to pest control 5 days back!!! i doubt it.
4. pantry/catering = 7/10...food vendors were contastly pedaling their wares... pantry was there ...some daring/immune pax even ordered thali ..by appearance it looked better than thali seen on some SF trains...but i could not do so myself ..with filthy ,waterless toilets and coackroach infested sleeper compartments... i shudder to think the condition of food stuff filled PC where the thali was being prepared...yuck.
5. Speed/puntcuality= 4/10 arrived 2:40 min late at ASR .. arrived JAT 2:50 min late...stopped at just about every damn stn enroute.
overall experience = 3/10 for 18101 MURI exp
..book SL seat in it only when you have run out of other options.
