Good Evening, here is my situation " my 3 friends are going to new delhi from secunderabad on 11 december 2013, they have confirmed ticket with them and they are advising me to book a ticket(which will go into waitlisting as no vaant seat is their) and they will adjust me with their seats. " So i want to know :
1. Is it legally possible.( i dont want a messing situation and conversation with TTC)
2. how should i proceed to book the ticket(online or offline , as some body told me...

thanx for helping me. One more think i want to just confirm that is , WL ticket have to be booked offline only or online will also work in this case? Also how much time before the departure of the train i can book the "Normal reserved ticket" in this case ? Thank you

1) Striclty as per rules: NOT ALLOWED. You'd have to negotiate and is subject to approval by the TTE.
2)Offline. At a PRS reservation counter. Online tickets are auto-cancelled if they end up in waitlist.
