Why is there a step-mother like treatment when nashik itself is a part of maharashtra?
road route from Nashik to Pune is also horrible, and rail route is not at all a good option

Because there is no RM from Maharashtra since a decade. So Maharashtra will continue getting step motherly treatment from IR
A survey for new rail line PUNE-NK was carried out in 2009-10 at a cost of Rs. 1899 Crore with ROR 4.11%. The same is under examination at present. Maharashtra State Govt has been requested to agree to 50% cost sharing and provide land free of cost.
No Nashik does not have a pit line, hence most of the Nashik based trains get extended to Manmad (Panchavati / Godavari / Rajyarani) due to maintenance facilities there.
thats why people demand separate division as with GR! nashik is a big city, MUHS is located in nashik! it falls on the golden quadrilateral line, populous city; still it does not have a pit line.
