The motto of Indian Railways has always been 'Make hay while the sun shines.' The fares for this train are really high and passengers have been taken for a joy ride. This train is yet to reach it's destination and it may start its return journey after the Matsyagandha. Anyway, this is not surprising, Indian Railways does not recruit staff on merit. So a day train turning into a night train is definately not shocking. Keep it up CR and KR, make hay while the sun shines.

Whatever be the case, I feel the DD would have helped in passengers getting tickets especially during the summer season. Today, we have so many specials. Come April and May you can expect to have just 2-3 specials, which in no means is enough.

well you started it actually.. " FYI, KR is not my family run business for me to give out excuses in its support. If you had that much of a problem, you should not have travelled in a special train in the first place instead of playing the blame game now."
All i do is post feedback for my train ride & there.. you went ballistic. I was never trying to blame anyone. It was meant to be just a review.. there are so many posts of reviews on the forum. You sound so ultra protective about KR... even having a ready excuse for the total pitch darkness at KRMI from 6 pm to 10 pm. I am also a KR fan

but I am objective in my thinking and believe in calling a spade a spade (or may be at times even a bloody shovel) : P you did talk abt my exaggerations. but my current report is not exaggerated at all. all the passengers have signed on the complaint... and yes I actually have video clips of the kids/ people jumping on seats/ screeching with the rats scurrying. people removed luggage from the floor, and kept it on the seats worried that it will get chewed by the chuhaas ..I kid you not here... :) really!
Apologies if you were offended by whatever I wrote. cheers

No problem. But a few clarifications which I guess would help you in your future Railfanning adventures...:)
1.Any train, except a RAJDHANI, if late by more than 2-3 hours loses its slot completely and is treated on par with the freight trains en route.
2. The zone which runs the train is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the trains.
3. I

have bashed Konkan Railway and bashed pretty bad at that, for delaying the 12133/34 recently when it was being incessantly delayed by 6-8 hours on a regular basis after a derailment on KR. It was only when I got to interact with a Station Master of KR did I realize that KR wasn't at fault for this delay as it was just sticking to the protocols...:)
4. The 02113 Shatabdi gets hauled by a WDG3A locomotive regularly, which barely manages to achieve 100Kmph let alone hit the Permitted 120Kmph for the Shatabdi. This is another major chink in Konkan Railway's armour as they have to take what CR throws at them...:P So there is no question of the Shatabdi sticking to its schedule even if it is given a free run with a WDG3A.
And as you might have learnt, A SPECIAL is a SPECIAL. No matter what the fare you have paid to travel in it, it'll not satisfy you 9 out of 10 times....:P It is always better to travel in a Passenger train rather than a Special.
Regards.

After reading all this all I can say Thank God my train was only 1h 50min late till Karmali, unbelievable attendants change their behaviour daily.. The attendant was good to me, maybe because of EC Class.. But travelling in EC Class was waste of money.. If my football club would not sponsor my ticket and if I had buyed my ticket from my own money my mother would have banged me for wasting the money..
