RailFans don't miss their train. Why? Because they go to the station HOURS before the actual departure of their Train - to watch OTHER trains depart. - Prince Maan

The motto of Indian Railways has always been 'Make hay while the sun shines.' The fares for this train are really high and passengers have been taken for a joy ride. This train is yet to reach it's destination and it may start its return journey after the Matsyagandha. Anyway, this is not surprising, Indian Railways does not recruit staff on merit. So a day train turning into a night train is definately not shocking. Keep it up CR and KR, make hay while the sun shines.

Your anger is justified as if a train follows a Shtabdi pricing, with food charges included, you need to expect some quality and 100% punctuality. The Shatabdi that left Mumbai yesterday (Sunday 29/12/13) reached Panvel after 9 am today (30/12/2013). Thankfully, it was not overtaken by the Garib Rath, that followed after an hour. But, yes, you can blame both CR and KR for this nightmare. The train does not have a run today. Tomorrow, it will start on time from CSTM and will also reach Roha as per the scheduled time. Then, the delay will start and the Konkan Railway is the only party responsible for the delay. With regards to the cleanliness of the coaches, I do not think the KR is responsible for that when the train touches Karmali Railway station. The responsibility of cleanliness lies solely with the CR. THe way I look at it, the...

TTEs come under KR not CR as whenever I travel in the Matsyagandha, Mumbai-Mangalore Express, Netravati, Garib Rath or any other train, the TTEs aligning at Ratnagari are affiliated to the KR not CR. If the guys ignored your requests for lodging a complaint, you should definately bring this out on a larger forum and not shy away from taking away the names of the TTEs'. You can definately complain on the PG greivances portal. However, trust me, nothing will happen. Our country is known for impotent laws, that are designed to protect criminals and procecute the innocent. If there were strong laws, the CR and KR would never have thought of running such a train with high fares. This is scam meant to make money at the cost of the hapless commuter. The authorities were aware that there is a huge demand for seats to Goa and hence, as always they played a very smart trick. I had stated earlier, the actual slogan of the Indian Railways should be "Make Hay while the sun shines" and the introduction of this train only proves this. I do not see this Shatabdi getting regularized as how will they manage this train during the monsoon season? To sum it up, our country is a corruption driven economy. The simple laws of economics are ignored. When it comes to demand for railway tickets, I bet, the Mumbai-Goa sector will be right up there. However, the authorities give all the LHB rakes to sectors where there is no scope for earnings. Take for instance, the AC double decker, as we know it is running on a route where there are hardly any takers. Even if the so called trials on the KR are successful, I am sure, the allocation of halts will smell of politics and the KR line is a classic example of politics at its worst.
