Can you also tell me the link where I can get the info about the priorities followed while confirming a WL ticket. For example between general and tatkal... etc...

railways confirms those quotas first which have high WL...it may be GNWL or CKWL.
There is no hard n fast rule for clearing WL.
Sometimes Tatkal WL are preferred over General WL. But we have also seen cases of clearing General WL before Tatkal, viz- Extracoach.
But in your case, CKWL will preferred.

What is said in Re# 943677-4..i.e our site availability link is the default option, obviously (comprehensive but not fast)!
But one more remarkably faster, reliable & intuitive option compared to poor/unfriendly UI of official main railways site that u may want to try is erail.
