Hey brothers. I am shifting from Vijayawada to Pathankot.Have no fair idea about the process. Got two 3AC tickets for me and wife in this train.Have to shift 1 refrigerator, 1 AC, 1 4'/6' bed, 1 TV, 1 Desktop PC, 1 gas oven with 5kg cylinder. Rest (6'/6'bed, PC Table, TV table, Dining table)am planning to sell.How to book these luggage? where how & when these will b packed?Cost?anybody please help or/ and suggest what best you feel.Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestion sir.But I came to know that the packers and movers actually charge a lot(around 30000 in this case), and I don't want to sell, as you also suggest. So I was suggested to carry the things in break van. regarding booking a truck I am not sure how safe and secure it is and once although insurance was there i didn't get the claim when my TVs picture tube was broken. Sir also tell me - can I carry PC and TV with me?I don't want to send them to the break van, and rest of those that are not fragile how can I book them and whom do I need to get in touch with and how many days earlier?I have a SL, SU in 3 AC.Thanks and regards- Chatterjee

U r correct sir. But I am thinking to carry PC and TV with me and the rest in break van . To cut short on the expenses and also remain secure.Can I book extra berth for these two? and the rest how will they b packed?What may b the charge? Please help.. Thanks in advance

you cannot book an extra berth for TV/computer system. Berths are only meant for people. Book tickets in 2AC/1AC. It would be better. But i had heard that people are charged for TV/SYSTEM, if the railway staff come to know what you are carrying in the box(ticket checker during exit of platform). I h ad heard this from my friends.
