Just had a call from family member who is on the train. Train reached Aler around 7.25pm. From their Secunderabad station is +2 hours. Train expected to reach Sec'bad at 9.30pm (3.5 hours behind schedule).
Probably, due t o rake sharing between HTE - HWH Express. The train must be arriving late at HWH. Consequently, east coast is delayed.
It is detained at outer to make way and clear departing trains from SC and HYD
May be you are right !!! HTE-HWH is diverted for some reason. So that must be the reason. 18645/6train as such is terrible and late on top of it. I would not book it ever in near future.
