There are no restrictions between Ratnagiri and Chiplun. r u some expert in train operations? On what basis do you claim, the WDP 4 will make no difference? If that is the case, the IR should consult you before deciding which engine should be deployed to which train.

Forget about OT, all other trains are made to stop at one side to allow these both to pass.
Till now, Mandovi, Sawantwadi Passenger and Mangla Express were stopeed at Sindhudurg, Nandgaon and Vaibhavwadi respectively to allow both Shatabdi and jan Shatabdi to cross..
Next in list are DDN-KCVL SF and Netravati Exp.

.but i have been a regular traveller on KR since its inception in 1998.and I am quite well aware of the route....but i would like to put that no matter what the loco be ...the train has to run on its timetable...it will never be the other way round ie if a train gets a better and a faster loco then it would reach ahead of time.....and please do not get angry.....We all are here to learn and share our views....HAPPY RAILFANNING

I am no stranger to the KR line either. I started using the line from 2004. In those days, the Jan Shatabdi was the undisputed king on the KR route. During those days, the train was definately the fastest. The arrival time of the 2051 DN JS at Tivim was 12.30. I can tell you, max to max the train used to arrive with a delay of 10-15 minutes, i.e. around 12.40-12.45. The 2052 UP train used to depart Tivim at 14.48 and this train used to reach on time. However, those were the days, when the train used to run with 9 coaches and when it came to augmentation, the max we could see was an extra 3 coaches. I agree, the zones with speed restrictions have increased over the line. But I still do not agree, why you are hell bend against the WDP 4 on the...

JS. I am off the belief, a 17 coach JS will only benefit in terms of speed and acceleration with the addition of a WDP 4 engine. However, again, the days of a 17 coach JS are numbered as we should have the normal 9-12 coach JS in the next few days as I can already see so many available seats on the train.

well I cannot convince u further that just merely getting a new loco wont decrease the running time of the JS.....I am not against the JS getting the WDP4..I have always been a fan of the JS....Well u ate free to believe whatever u like and I cannot change that..I suggest that we put an end to this debate once and for all....Lets not wait time on it...Lets see if JS gets the WDP 4 .....and I can assure u that even then the train will have the same performance as it has now...
