This Train was inaugurate from Kamakhya on 04/01/2014 at 04:00 pm with 70 passengers onboard the train, and 38 passengers from Dekargaon on 5/1/2014 the first Express train in the newly gauge converted section, there were no high grade Railway officers present there at the time of inauguration, as if the Railway were not interesed in this train which was not a good sign, but i will praise the Rangapara crowd, on 04/1/14 there were above 5000 of people present at the station to welcome the new train in the newly converted section, they performed various cultural programs and offer sweets to every body prent there.
