RAIL FAN VINU AT SBCMWMYPRKJM 206 blog postsTravelled i this train from YPR-PDY on 14/01/2014, totally a sleepless night journey, Horrible train, no cleaning works takes place at YPR, I was alloted S1, the cocah was full of rats and moquitos. Thsi should be restored to YPR with transfer to SWR and new triweekly train from YPR-PDY nad YPR-TEN should be introduced.
instead of running DR-PDY They can run it as DR-YPR n den YPR-PDY as a seperate train
Occupancy b/n PDY-YPR, TEN-YPR, YPR-DR is more in this train rather than PDY-DR and TEN-DR. What I would suggest is to terminate this at YPR and run dailies to both PDY and TEN from YPR so that pax travelling from SBC to PDY, TEN will also get benefitted.
If this is done, then DR-TEN SF Express via Konkan should be made atleast Tri-weekly with more number of coaches.
Else, YPR-DR should be brought under GNWL in both Chalukyas.

The only train passes through DVG-UBL Route is extended and became useless. This should be restored as DR-YPR SF express with around 20 hours running time. In Chalukya slot, one day train is there to Mysore. Even this can be made to run to YPR. 6-8 coaches can be attached/ detached at ASK on daily basis to Talaguppa-Mysore Intercity, thereby Mysore gets a daily train and all Bangalore gets 7 days exclusive train to Mumbai. For DR-PDY, route and time slot of 11017 can be used upto RU and via KPD, TV Malai, VM it can reach PDY. This will be useful for PDY passengers. As for DR-TEN route, the route via Konkan is preferred and is shorter also.
A train from UBL to PDY/TEN with following timings suggested:-UBL Dep 1530, YPR Arr 2230 Dep 2245 KPD Arr 0245 Dep 0300 PDY Arr 0730. For TEN portion YPR Dep 2245, SA 0245, Via Nmkl MDU 0730, TEN 1100. Return trip TEN Dep 1630 SA 0030 YPR 0500 (PDY Dep 2100 YPR 0500), UBL arr 1230. This train can take care of crowd waiting for Chalukya between TK & UBL and provides convenient link to YPR-PDY and YPR-MDU-TEN passengers also. Can be a combined train daily basis or 3 days each to TEN and PDY initially.
Better a new train from Hubli/Vasco via Ypr can be introduced on the time Something like VASCO-PUDUCHERRY EXPRESS(Bi weekly), HUBLI-TIRUNELVELI EXPRESS(biweekly) and VASCO-NAGERCOIL EXPRESS acn be introduced. It should run on the route of 17315/16 Vasco-Velankanni express.
