Yesterday I had a local train ticket from Thane to Dadar and I was waiting for the same on PF. Don't know why the evening crowd was more towards CST. Somehow I was reluctant to travel in packed local as I had my kid with me. Hence, I boarded the CSTM bound Nagercoil-Mumbai Express and got down at Dadar with the same ticket. No TTE came to check the ticket.
Am I permissible to do so. Is it an offence?. If the TTE comes for checking how much fine do I have to pay.

Oops... I was lucky then...Paying difference amount is ok. But they ll impose hefty fine.

This is the way Mumbai ke TTE check tickets, personally seen at Thane, during morning hours, those who have a have a bag and those who walk in hurry, unko TTE kabhi nahin puchte ticket.. Unko malum hai yeh daily passenger hai, season ticket wale, office jaane ke rush mein.. Those who walk without a bag and who walk in no hurry mode, unko pehle ticket puchte hai..
Experienced many times the day I have bag and have college ID on my neck, TTE does not ask for ticket, the day I walk without any bag in time pass mood that day each and every TTE asks for tickets..

Lekin mein akela nahi tha. meri tarah aise bahut passsengers (regular travellers by their look) travel kiye.. isiliye mein confuse hogaya
