amitkasba~ 945 blog postsevery rail minister has his own thought of introducing new type of trains, mr.schindhiya indroduced shatabdi, laloo yadav started garib rath, nitish kumar indroduced sampark kranti, jan shatabdi,mamata banerjee started duronto, who started Rajdhani i have no idea but when those rail ministers leave the seat then their ideas are also abandoned even if their ideas were popular and beneficial.. sampark kranti janshatabdi ideas were excellent still nobody bothered to increase the frequency of those trains or introduced new trains of the same name.. only exception is Shatabdi, new shatabdis are introduced every year in different route then why not start some new rajdhanis or jan shatabdis??like goa raj, indore raj, jodhpur raj???? what is the problem of doing so?? why not increase the frequency of all sampark krantis and make them Daily trains rather than introducing new trains on the same route with other names?? You are missing a point here.
Raj trains are expensive and just observe what patronage the then Duronto and now Raj train is getting.
Even the Premier train concept is not able to get hit status.
In our country we want good train, Good speed, Right Fare, Not overcrowded Coaches (Duronto with SL are best example), Good Food That's It.

How can this rajdhani connect the capital of 7 sister states(expect assam) when there is no rail connectivity to the capital Cities.DBRT raj connects the nearest railheads of the state which fulfills the criteria of rajdhani
ur point is write but plz understand that,
>when a raj is not from/to state capital or running via state capital,,, we have to b very sure that the rail infra in that area of the country is not gud... DBRG raj is given to connect the whole 7 states of NE to connect wid delhi...manipur, mizoram, Arunachal,nagaland and from lumding even tripura is connected to this and for megalaya its guwahati the nearest station.....

Dekhiye amit bhai...indore delhi aur jodhpur delhi ke b/w rajdhani exp shayad hi IR consider karega....actually i don't think other than a goa rajdhani and agartala rajdhani (after gc),IR will even think of introducing any other rajdhani...just see the eg of ltt nzm a.c exp...this train not at all different from rajdhani,it has pantry,lhb rakes,full a.c and aggressive tt,but still IR hesitated to name it as rajdhani,so its just an a.c exp.... But instead agar demand hai kisi route pe,toh rajdhani ki jagah,normal a.c exp ya sf exp jyada sahi rahega....and i believe due to less fare and more speed,a.c exp are present trend of आम आदमी...;-)
