What is "buffer" recently used in SRC-YPR spl..
how it is different from loco Reversal ?
how it is different from loco Reversal ?
As per my understanding, buffer means attaching different loco, instead of same loco getting reversed!!
In such a case, Loco already stationed @ Loco Change station (can be termed buffer), closer to Rake End side (Rake end after arrival). Sooner the train arrives, primary loco gets detached @ front while the stationery (buffer) loco instantly attached to Rake end (which acts as front for train's onward journey)!!
This saves Loco Reversal time along with other train's schedule, which may block or get block by reversing Loco!!
