I will be boarding sspn hwh express from sspn at 7.30am.
how do I reach sspn from bangalore/hassan? I don't want to take a hotel. any over night bus or train to sspn that leaves bangalore late night and reaches sspn early morning?

Bus is the ONLY option in such a case, takes hardly 3 hrs. Both state RTCs operate umpteen no. of buses. Maybe you can check on very early start from SBC, which I am not sure of.
The best thing is go to DMM by train. Then there are lot of buses to Puttaparthi from DMM. Takes 45mins. The buses from DMM go right outside SSPN. Puttaparthi is 8km from station so get off at station itself. You won't find buses to Puttaparthi before 6am at Bangalore so forget the bus option.
that is why I have suggested this way. There will be some APSRTC Express buses but not sure of their run time and timings. Advance resv will not be there for such cases.
So, take SBC NED, get down @ DMM and wait for this train. IMHO, TTE will not check of for pax in this 1 hr. Or, you can take some train again which routes back to SSPN.
