This pic shows the arrival of fourth and fifth rakes for
#CMRL #ChennaiMetro from Sao Paulo, Brazil. The rakes are being taken from the Chennai Port to Koyambedu Depot, where they will be extensively tested before putting them on reals. We are aware that the previously arrived rakes are at various levels of testing. Of note, the CMRL project is getting delayed due to contractors not finishing their jobs within the stipulated time. It now looks like the tentative date for trial runs would be Oct and inauguration by Nov 2014, a delay of almost 10 months. Pic courtesy: The Hindu.
