Out of 1282 km chennai-Mumbai sector, 236 is a single line section.
Single lines are
1) Bhigwan-Mohol: 126 Km
2) Hotgi- Gulbarga: 98 Km
3) Mantralayam Road-Matmari: 12 Km.
So...
more...
now 18.5% Chennai-Mumbai Main Line is single route. Doubling work is going on all 3 sections. Hope we will see full line as double soon.

Single line is still ok if any train has good priority and end to end mps is 110 ... But i think mumbai chennai section has lot of psr ,
