Local trains coming from Palwal are too crowded. Metro will be the cheapest bet for you. Fare is Rs 40/- Take the Metro to INA/Delhi Haat and change to Yellow Line for NDLS. Will take you about 1 hr.

I travelled by 12302 in 1A in Sep-23. Yes the train has been slowed down and can be speeded up. They key challenge is NCR is bunching all its 130KMPH running trains between NDLS-MGS at 10-minute interval. If ER proposes to swap a slot with any of these trains and the same gets approved then train can have a better run from MGS to HWH. If i remember my observations. We were at Kanpur 15 mins before time. MGS arrived 25 mins before time. (I think thanks to DFC). Next day morning we were late at Parasnath but 15 mins before time at Dhanbad. And finally, 10 mins before time at Howrah.
OLD BRIDGES /NEW BRIDGES that doesn't matter as long as the PWAY has been certified for 130KMPH ops. TSR,s do come up whenever track work is going on. Just FYI Naini bridge is fit for 130KMPH ops. There is only a small section Gurpa-Gujhani Ghat section which has 75kmph ops . Rest full track from Ghaziabad to Dankuni is fit for 130KMPH ops.

That is just a small patch. And there is a TSR there this doesn't mean whole route is kaput. What controlling are we discussing here ? NCR is running 12 Superfast trains at 10 mins window at 130KMPH. Off course some travel from New Delhi to Just Kanpur, Some till Allahabad and some till MGS before diverting to their respective final destination routes.
First one Lucknow Tejas at 15:40 and last one is Poorva at 17:40.

Its very important that these slow trains like Ganga Sutlej are speeded up then only section capacity can be increased.
