fanof12801~ 140 blog postsIf 12860 gets rsa with 18615 (kriya yoga exp) it can save 1 extra rake and PM will be at RNC. Is it feasible? Is it a good plan?
Gitanjali has a roundtrip of 3950km which requires PM at HWH. The line from Tatanagar to Raipur is best known for its punctuality due to freight movement in SECR and this gets late and the situation will not improve in next 3 years. So it's nots recommended.
last 10 days se 12368 DDU RT aati hai.. aur fir ARA se PNBE ke bich delay ho jati hai. agar PNBE RT aayi to aage PNC ya BKP tak me 2hr tak delay ho jati hai. mid night me aisi kya problem ho Jaa rahi hai route me daily.. koi kaam chal raha hai kya track par?

Amit Jee, PNBE - MKA - LKR section mein block liya jaa raha hai. 22460 BV Humsafar Express bhi late huyi thi same section mein kal.
Block is after Patna saheb before kiul sirjee.12394 terminates at RJPB and before 94 there is 12310 whose time no block can be taken by ECR.Hence 12394 arrives right time.
kuch reason jarur hai.. as baki members ne bataya ki daily block liya jaa raha hai may be track par ya signalling par kaam chal raha hoga.
and the delay saga continues after PNBE.
aaj wali 12368 ko PNBE par almost 1hr roka gaya jabki 12274 ko turat hi depart karwa diya gaya..

If someone wants to go to Digha beach, like from Tatanagar, then how can I reach?
If i choose to go via Kharagpur I can go via bus. But if i want to go via Jaleswar, I have to get a cab/auto. Can anyone tell me that cabs are available in jaleswar for digha? And how much they charge???

No idea, never thought of this as till now didn't get an opportunity to visit Digha
I went to Digha once by taking an EMU from KGP for Panskura and then an EMU from there to Digha. But boy, the Digha section has so much demand and much lower capacity for running trains. The train was more full than a Bombay local during peak times. I couldn't even get onto the train. Fortunately, I was traveling with my Mum and somehow she took me into the ladies coach [which was also, somewhat full of men ; policemen could hardly supervise such a crowd] where I was standing for the rest of the journey.

From Tatanagar you have to come to kharagpur by any train. From kharagpur:
1. If on Sunday, you will directly get Asansol-Digha Exp.
2. On other days, there r some express trains to digha you can check their timings and travel accordingly in undeserved coaches.
3. Take EMU from kharagpur and go to Panskura and take connecting EMU to Digha.

KKRAlwaysDestroyTeamIndia~ 1464 blog postsSCR must ensure RSA of Falaknuma & East Coast Express. SCR must take East Coast Express Rake from SER. East Coast Express must be converted to SF after SCR gets hold of the train, renumber the train from 18645/18646 to 22703/22704. This will help & improve Kolkata-Hyderabad Train travel very much. East Coast was SCR train in till 2007/08 having 7045/7046 number. Then it was given to SER during Number system change of IR in 2008/09. 7045/7046 East Coast Express became 18645/18646 & RSA with 18615/18616 was enforced. But currently 18645/18646 RSA with 18615/18616 was removed after LHB rakes given. 18645/18646 became 18045/18046 now.

Falcon is recovering from it's notorious reputation of having the worst maintenance in SCR thanks to it's new RSA. To pair it with East Coast, which has very bad maintenance, since it's SER doing PM , no surprise there, would be a terrible decision. Also, even if SCR takes over PM of East Coast, it is unlikely they will assign RSA to two long distance trains. SER can do some RSA on its end like with HWH SMVB SF or any night train by speeding up East Coast to make it arrive by 11:00 AM at HWH end. Return can depart early in the evening at around 15:00 PM or so.
The way 12841/42 & 12839.40 undergoes RSA, 12703/04 & 18045/46(as 22703/04) can have their RSA. its just a proposal anyways
That would mean a TT swap either between 12704 and 18046 or 12703 and 18045
SMVT HWH arrives at 2000 and can have PM and leave as East coast in morning ar 1145 no change in timings. From Hyderabad the timings can be changed to leave in night at 2200 to arrive in morning 600 then it leave to SMVT in night. This can save turn around time of SMVT express which is 24hrs which will save a rake of East coast.
That does help but I also feel at this point they should make East Coast SF with 57 kmph avg speed and 27-28 hrs time of travel, it's high time. That will save a rake as well. If train remains at each end for 16-18 hrs, that will require extra rake as well. Also we need to remember that TAT of SWVB HWH SF at SMVB is just too less and that will definitely change as time goes by. Probably, to like 7-8 hrs or even an extension to Mysuru with TT change to old schedule will also help.
