For the first time, Kottayam to be converted in to a terminus for long hauling trains. Right now there is no Long Haul trains/Reservation Trains Originate or Terminate at Kottayam. Only 2 Unreserved Express and few Passenger service operated from Kottayam.

ALLP pit lines will be decommissioned soon for the double line proposed alignment. That is the reason for extending Dhanbad Express to kcvl. All other passenger trains' PM are shifted to other yards.

There should not be any problem, and also the extension of 13401/13402 and Janhit Express should be done from Ara because 13401/13402 stands at Danapur at about four hours, there will be no problem in extending it to Ara. With this, Central Bihar will be directly connected to Bhagalpur and North Bihar.
