India’s Longest Rail-cum-road Bogibeel Bridge To Be Inaugurated In June
- The Bogibeel Bridge, the country’s longest rail-cum-road bridge being constructed for 15 years, is set to be inaugurated in June this year, Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani said. The 4.94km long bridge will facilitate connectivity between north & south banks of the Brahmaputra in the eastern region of Assam & Arunachal Pradesh.

The Last span of Bogibeel bridge launched in Dibrugarh. The General Manager of NFR (Northeast Frontier Railway) (Construction), N K Prasad commenced the launching of the last normal span of the Bogibeel Bridge superstructure on Sunday. The launching of the last span onto the pier will be completed in 15 days.
