While in Gonda, I and Mr. Ashu (member from balrampur) decided to explore the other hidden part of Gonda Railway Station compound as we have heard about the "Steam Loco" Shed in Gonda .. While we entered into the restricted area, we got some very valuable pics of some unknown machines, Crane,Coaches of goods train belonging to ECR,mg coach of gkp base,an old tamping machine kept beside the locked gate and that's the main area of Old Steam Shed which is now refurbished and converted into some official area with few things still the same.. steam shed". This vast compound needs at least 3-4 hours to be covered up with everything as we had to head back to our respective destinations.. we decide the exploring "to be continued" till further notice..
Sooner, this place will be fully explored and more old and historical machines will be captured. These are historical images containing the old MG machines used to run while they were needed. Now, they remain standing till the whole station goes BG and then these will be either fully scrapped or sold to some other country. :( Hoping some of the things would be sent to museum that would enlighten the beauty of old MG era in IR.
