After finishing my aunt's gruhapravesham in Mahalingapuram,my mother and I took a rickshaw to Central where we were dropped off near Moore Market Complex at 8pm. After a brief security check, we made our way to PF11,where we expected our train. To my surprise, there was a TNP WDM7 11004. The rake was that of the Bilaspur Superfast. I forgot that the train leaves at 21:10 and when I went for a softee at 20:15, I saw the departure boards saying Kaveri would leave from Pf3. We went to 3 and saw the following trains on various Platforms:
#Navjeevan Express ready to leave as Cheran on PF 10. Loco:LGD P4
#Howrah Mail on Pf 9. ED P4 Loco
#Palani Express with WDM 7 TNP Shed 11007 on Pf 7
#Allappuzha Express on Pf 6 with TNP WDm 7 11014
#Mangalore Mail on Pf 5 which was back shunted.

At 20:40, DD from SBC rolled into PF2 with RPM WAP7 30349. By 21:00, the crowd was starting to get impatient since the rake was not brought in yet. At 21:15, TNP WDM2S brought in TN Express. Shortly after that, Brinda came on Pf 4 with a RPM P7. At 21:25, Shatabdi came in as well on Pf 1 with AJJ WAP! but still no sign on our rake. Finally after a long wait, the rake arrived with a WDM2 of TNP. The rake had only 1 2A and 3 3As. On asking the coach attendant, he said that A2 coach was sick and replaced with a 3A. Everyone settled down in their berths and TTE also came at MAS itself. The rake of MDU Duronto arrived with the Bond WDM 7 007 on Pf 2. It had normal liveried EOG at the end and a mix of regular liveried and Duronto liveried coaches, led by ED WAP4. After TN left at 22:00, our train left by 22:15 with a typical CBC jerk. The washrooms were dirty and the fan in my bay was not working. The fan started after poking it with a pen. My mother and me were tired and slept immediately. The next thing we know, we reached SBC at 5:10 on Pf5. Shatabdi was on the adjoining pit lane. Mail from MAS arrived at 5:15. Our train left at 5:20 and reached KGI at 5:50am.
Ratings:
Speed- 8/10 GOOD SPEED
Cleanliness-4/10 DIRTY TOILETS
Comfort-6/10 REASONABLE BLANKET and SHEETS,POOR COOLING AND FANS
Tip: If travelling to SBC only, take Mail. To MYS, Take Mail-Mayiladuthurai combo. Avoid Kaveri if possible
Thanks for reading this long report
