I think that this train should get LHB Coaches along with speeding it up by removing redundant stoppages en route and giving it a WAP-7D Loco in future ;-D

Hello Can someone tell me monsoon tt means slowing down of trains?? coz if i chk for 12617 ERS to NZM train departs at about 10.30 am instead of 13.20 but still reaches NZM at same time which is 13.10. please help me on this i have to book 20 tickets for MAJN to PNVL in this train for DOJ 28.08.14. if it changes time from 1st july 2014 we all can be in trouble.

Where have I mentioned that the info was provided by Loco Pilots??? I said reliable sources, not Loco Pilots. This is disgusting. Making up facts to prove someone wrong!!!

I agree with you.... this blog started with the photos of WAP-7 but I think that in the coming days we will get to see photos of #wap7d on IRI... Gee ;-D

Indian Railways have already started experimenting with new generation of diesel and electric locomotives. Electric WAP-7 locomotives are already under limited use in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains. The WAP-7D (7000 horsepower) with dual brakes is also undergoing experimentation. On the other hand the Railways are yet to commercialise the WDG-5 (Bheem) diesel locomotive technology even after two years of its inception. The implementation of WAP-7D technology must be speeded up.
