The PUNE-Solapur-Gulbarga is the only section without DOUBLING AND ELECTRIFICATION in the GOLDEN QUADRILATERAL BETWEEN THE METROS .Moreover CENTRAL RAILWAY is the only ZONAL RAILWAY which has failed in these years together GQ line without Doubling and Electrification of MUMBAI-CHENNAI CORRIDOR.Till date all the Expresses/SF operated with slow speed compare to other GQ Routes.
At-least now itself complete this section on war footing with in 2 years for the benefit of the Southern States..
