Simultaneously all the Diamond Quadrilateral Tracks connecting all the Metros and the Major State Capital lines also fenced for the High Speed Train operation.

This is confusing news. I think for Dedicated Freight Corridor Project. Delhi - Kolkata and Delhi - Mumbai, both these are Dedicated Freight Corridors. I am sure, the Fencing will be done for these two. These two lines are already choked and jam - packed to capacity, as far as Passenger Trains are concerned.

* 160kmph trains can be conveniently operated on the Delhi-Mumbai & Delhi-Sonnagar/Kolkata routes after completion of the ongoing DFCs. The fencing/track-upgradation as well as the DFC projects are likely to be completed in next 3-4 years and we can expect 90-110kmph avg speed for premium ac trains, 70-85 kmph avg speed for LHB SFs, against the current figure of about 70-90 kmph, & 55-65 kmph respectively.
* I hope track upgradation of other GQ routes like Delhi-Chennai shall be taken up in next phase to match the commissioning of the respective DFCs.
