No real surprise...everyone knows the part that they play in not running any new trains in pgt - poy route.
The PGT-Pollachi route never even had the privilege to have a formal inaugration due to the election code of conduct previous year . Even the trains are still not regularized ...not sure what is the reason.
For a passenger coming from TVC bound for Pollachi, he needs to get down at Palakkad and then again purchase a ticket to Pollachi. I think they are waiting for the PTJ-Pollachi route inaugration and then may find something happening in this route

The role of so called "Tamil Lobby" is only responsible for this.
The Mas-plni exp which is now running upto poy is not extended till pgt only bcz they dont want their train to go out of their state;they are waiting for ptj-poy route work to finish and then extend it to CBE...Also if trains starts via pgtn-poy route,mainy train might be introduced via konkan to rmm or mdu via this route so they are afraid that CBE would be neglected .
