Hi rail travelers, good day! i have one question, if I book two passenger ticket in the 3AC superfast train and my reservation got confirmed with RAC, will I get 2 berths or sharing berths in 3AC (like sleeper class mostly allotted.. Side lower berth for the 2 passengers booked under RAC quota)
You will get one berth (side lower) for two passengers whose status remains in RAC after chart preparation, hope this helps! Cheers!
In 3AC also, if 2 senior citizens were to travel in RAC to such a long distance journey, what is the railway ideology behind for RAC status. This is very bad for senior citizens passenger who borrow ticket in RAC atleast get confirmed seats. Railway should think not to hurt passenger and make money in such a manner...
What can IR do in this? They have already allotted LB quota for senior citizens. IR can't block the entire coach for senior citizens. If you feel it's tiresome to travel in RAC for Senior citizens in long journey's, then go for Tatkal or get confirmed ticket for next available date.
