Don't know...2 seats are still left in 3A. Possibly due to SS category (and choice), not upgraded.
Choosing SS has some drawbacks? I had selected for auto upgradation as well
See...You get ticket for discounted/subsidised fare. So, they are rarely eligible for upgradation. Upgradation is usually offered to people who paid usual fare or more(TQ or PT). Don't expect upgradation in SS.
But, railways should consider changing that as it may allow other travellers to be accommodated in train.
