Railways have announced that 6101 and 6102 expresses would be run via Mayiladurai, Tirucxhirappalli, Karaikudi to reach Rameswaram. from 1.8.2010. It is a good news. It would be beneficial to the train using public if 6101 express leaves Chennai Egmore at 22, 15 hrs and runs at a spped of 60 kms/hr so that it would reach Rameswaram at 11.15 hrsthe next day..Withis timing it can reach
Tiruchirappalli, Puduukkotta, Karakudi in the early hours the next day. In like manner, in its return journey, the 6102 expresscan leave Rameswaram Jn at 18.15 hrs and reach Chennasi Egmore at 7.15 hrs the next day.
