IR Why E - Catering,Onboard Catering is not starting in this train ? They should start it as it is now not completely overnight train Breakfast can be served ..... as the arrival time at Kota is 10:35 a.m. and also for it's return Dinner could be served since train starts from source station (Kota) at 5:55 p.m.
Please give your views in words and elaborate it on this.Pehle it was running till DDN to NDLS and vice versa and the point is true that no pantry catering was there.Absolutely true Agree with it.But now since it is an 11 h 48 m journey in average Indian Railways should now start pantry and catering services in this train.
This is just not done.A Pantry Car should be attached to this train now and onboard catering should be done as Dinner and Snacks are possible in this train due to reaching at 10:35 KOTA .It should be done .E catering holi chahiyeeee..Breakfast is possible at 7:30 in the morning Yes not kidding ... 🧐

Ig there is a rule that PC is provided when train is starting before or at 16.00 (not sure though).Nanda Devi is starting at 17.55 from Kota so this rule must be applicable to this train. The timings at Dehradun are 22.45 so assuming everyone has taken dinner and then boards the train so they don't provide dinner and no breakfast in morning time as no PC. Still you can have breakfast from stations after NZM in 12402.

Iss train me ek v sleeper class q nhi hai? And itna chota cc hai toh sleeper class b easily add kiya ja sakta hai.... Non peak time me flop chlti hai ye train already
This train used to originally run as a dedicated overnight train between NDLS and DDN . Unfortunately , it was extended to Kota due to extensive political lobbying , the only reason was it's layover time at NDLS .
As far as patronage is concerned , it has been , and , still remains highly sought after and packed throughout the year on its original leg of route {NDLS (now NZM)- DDN}. The patronage is relatively less , but fairly decent between NZM- KOTA , considering its timings . ...

Regarding your comment on Environment activists, I don't think that we even need to consider the opinion of those since they always remain hurdle of every project.
Nope, here Environment activist demanded proper security measures & alignment change of both the Road & Railway line. Silkyara is a landslide prone zone
Silkyara is having both Road tunnel of NHAI & Rail tunnel of IR.
