Agree - Food in Sleeper class was terrible. Rice + Dal + Chicken or Mixed veg + Curd. Exact same meal both for lunch and dinner. The evening snack was a joke - no frooti, no bhujia and no sandwich -- just a very hard khasta kachauri (inedible) and tea kit. It's better to ignore this and get your own food.
With the new non-discharge toilets installed the toilets are a major hazard. On my journey (Sleeper class - June 2017) one toilet was completely full and waste had come up to the metal brim. The smell of ammonia was overpowering. All this happened by the night of the first day before Mughalsarai (2200 hrs). By 0600 the next morning the train was 3 hours late and another toilet was overflowing. This is atrocious and a big problem when planning a journey with families or old people.

In Sleeper class during summer season, the main problem which most of the passengers faced was water bottles getting warm due to hot air blowing outside. Added to this, there were no arrangements of cold water in pantry car. It was also very difficult to get cold water in Kanpur station because many shops did not have cold/chilled water 7 train stops there for 5 minutes only. Finally, the cold water was available at Mughalsarai. Hence, to all the passengers who wish to take Howrah Duronto during summer season, I have following suggestions:

I feel a few corrupt people are the main causes for loss in IR, in spite of the hard work of majority. There is no need to earn revenue by naming trains after donors. Prestige of IR will be lowered by this move. Revenue has to be earned by eliminating corruption.
There is no facility to heat the food in the pantry car. Cold food is provided even during winters.
