After NJP You Will Hardly Find A Vendor Even For Tea/Coffee/ Water. Although People Do Take Orders For Your Meal. I Booked Lunch & Dinner For Yesterday Through E-Catering . Hence, Had No Real Issues In Terms Of Food. This Morning Had Good Breakfast Option At LMG. Had To Order Lunch From Railway Staffs Which Was Disaster. But At Haflong, You Get Good Food & Fruits To Purchase.... more...
2. Cleanliness Is A Big Let Down. First Thing We Got To Know After Boarding The Train Is OBHK Is On Strike, So No Staffs Will Be Available For Cleaning. Nothing Happened Even After Tweeting To Railway Ministry. Even The AC Door Was Making Noise Like Anything. Bedroll Was There, But Without Hand Towels. We Eventually Had To Ask For It 3. The Train Is A Supercrawler. Through Out Its Run It Maintained A Delay Around 1 Hour But Reached DMR Just 15 Mins Late....This Train Can Easily Depart At 8:35 Hrs From SDAH And Still Maintain Its Schedule 4. All Coaches ( AC & Sleeper) Needs Replacement Since They Are Horribly Old And Zero Maintenance . Orelse A Serious Accident Is Just Round The Corner
I think the best train to explore Barack is 20502 Agartala Rajdhani. Clean LHB coach, no tension of food and class A services. You will be able to RF in peace.
Yes true. But for best RF experience that is the train. Still, sad to see 13173 degrade so much. Last time I traveled, it was actually quite good. I would not say it was amazing in terms of cleanliness or facilities but it had some standard. Sadly, no one cares about trains like Kanchanjunga hence the degradation
Another con: All the times unwanted passengers, daily passengers board in reserved coaches, even in AC. Also continuous disturbance from beggars and eunuchs (hijra).
Nightmare to travel in this train alongwith its combo 15659/25657 ex BWN upto RPH...Daily passengers & MST travellers who book their MST at 250-350 Rs/month,which is even lesser than a one way SL class tkt forcefully occupies all the SL berths. I dont understand how can MST pax be allowed in a train which also serves Premium CK.
one can get wonderfull view of FARAKKA BARRAGE. .!!WARNING!! taking photographs of barrage area is an offence ... but no one want o miss those mesmerising views..and evryone take pics

actualy its a day train from NJP and SDAH so crosses the barrage over ganga river during afternoon... and it gives breathtaking view ... wonderfull for railfanning but taking pics in that area is prohibited
