Yes the train has become extremely popular in both the direction . But IR has now started providing it with VB 1.0 rake .. which is ok if you are traveling till Chandigarh …
Chandigarh New Delhi route can fill another 8-10 coacher Shatabdi / VB with reverse timings of 12045/12046 i.e Afternoon departure from New Delhi say 1230 or so and late evening departure from CDG say 2030 or 2100 hrs dep with NDLS arrival around 2330,
Between Morning Shatabdi @ 0740 dep, the next decent train is at 1720 in the evening...Some intermediate slot train is required which will drop passengers incl female passengers of far flung areas like Nahan, kala Amb, Patiala, Yamunanagar, Una, Rupnagar etc at decent timings at UMB and CDG to allow them to catch public transport like Govt Buses to these 100 kms areas within CDG and UMB etc.

As per Natarajan Anna's channel, from tomorrow Siddhaganga will run with electric traction.
Yes. P7 is apt for this train. Also as per pr from March 2024 this train is going to get 50 mins speedup
True. Same loco i.e KJM WAP-7 39212 is going to do honours for Siddhaganga during its first e loco run on Dec 1st. SWR formed lsa between these two trains

The station was largely clear by the time I was there. Couple of trains did come from Allahabad side but they were on the other side [PF 4, I think]. The home platform/PF1 was quite laid back with construction work going on.
I had to walk a bit to get public transportation [ read: e rickshaw ] back to main rail station, but I guess that might be due to the fact that there was no crowd at the station and hence, low nos of activity.
