I have one e-ticket for 5 passengers with same pnr... After chart preparation ..only one passenger got confirmed...remaining 4 are waiting list...
Can the remaining 4 travel on the train with the ticket..?

Bit confusing as 4 passengers can travel in general compartment as there is every chance that TTE cant notice as they are travelling and may mark as 'not turned up' and allow for refund later. Ticket checking staff may not agree e-tickets in general compartments is what i feel.

3. Okay suppose if TTE allows, can we travel in sleeper coach without paying any money? Or should we need to take general ticket and get into sleeper coach?

if TTE allows, you dont have to pay him anything as procedure wise, he will mark all as present, giving no room for refund. No need to buy general ticket for this.
