Yes i agree........a daily Intercity would pull a lot of prospective travelers between two important cities of commercial importance in Maharashtra apart from the fact it would provide a good connectivity to Sikh Pilgrims who i believe regularly make a visit to the city of Nanded.
but the same DD will definitely do wonders if run between NDLS and JAT ..i am pretty confident ...caveat being should cover distance in 8 to 9 hours ..
Slightly better figures when compared to KCG - GNT DD but around 800+ seats running empty.I believe the seating capacity of a DD is around 128 seats so going by that around 7 coaches i.e 896 seats are running empty if we arrive at a ballpark figure.Even if we add say,20% last minute pax......that leaves 896 - 179 = 717 seats vacant(roughly speaking) which translates to 6 or around 6 and a half empty coaches outta 10.That's something which does not inspire confidence.I believe Railways will be seriously looking into this issue. No doubt.
That's a whole different ballgame altogether. That route has insatiable appetite but as you mentioned given the travel time is not too hard on the travelers. :)
plus a day time connectivity to jammu will do wonders for that route as it lacks good connectivity during daytime ..let alone a fast one ...
