Yes... it was opened way back in 1860-61 and much hasn't changed at MGS. Just recently the number of platforms have increased from 6 to 8 since this station can't handle too many trains nowadays. SDAH-SVDK AC Express may be the latest kid that will visit MGS in the years to come. I hope that you will like some of my videos and photos from MGS that are not so clear ;-)

Kuch din pehle authorities ko MGS stn main track renewal karna pada... a train was saved from derailment due to faulty track at MGS as per news reports. The train may have been some North to East India long distance express !!!
