Earliar there is a direct train between Ajmer to Secundarabad on meter gauge which is now shorter to indore to akola as you may know that after COR to RTM gauge conversion lot of people facing problem to travel from indore to Ajmer or in between station it is almost 10 years take to reach indore & still direct train to Ajmer or COR is awaited Via Fatehabad, BarNagar. It may be because of platform issue at indore station. still work is pending of PF 6 & 7 at indore also Mhow gauge conversion is pending.
According to one letter from Indian govt Gauge conversion work between Ratlam to akola should be completed in 2014 the letter is of 2008 & available on internet on indian govt site. But Govt is always great. I have read History & found that from 1872 to 1878 govt has made the track between Nizam(secundarabad to Ajmer) as diffrent riyasat has made the contribution in that. means in around 10 years they have made track around 2000 KM. Govt People always have excuses.
