Sorry Selvam. Missed ur post. Ottivakkam- Karunguzhi, Tpj- MPA looks more promising. Also Vaitampatti - Dg looks promising. NO Vaigai did not take the new track between Karunguzhi and VM. The new line is used by trains towards Chennai. Crossed a freight just after Karubguzhi in the double line section. No upgrade in new lines in terms of MPS. Vaigai constantly did around 80 kmph. As you asked about trains getting delayed between Alu and tpj is because of very brisk wrks going on all the way especially around Sendurai.

I am expecting CGL-Karunguzhi, TVNL-VRI, TPJ-Manapari sections to be completed by July 2015 and Kalpathicharam/Ayyalur-DG by Sep 2015.
