have given stats of lines owned by SWR both inside and outside karnataka ... you can read them and interpret as as you want ... nobody can stop anyone's brain in interpreting things !
While agreeing to your view that SWR is not only for Karnataka, I would like you to introspect on the following points:
1. SR controls entire stretch of TN and Kerala (except for SA-HSRA-SBC line). Of course, SR has few kilometers in AP and Karnataka (like upto RU in AP and MAQ/ MAJN in KA). So, one can conclude easily conclude that SR is mainly for TN and Kerala. Main intentions of SR would be to provide connectivity from TN/ Kerala to other places wherever people want. Even public are clear that they have to approach only one zone for their train requirements.

Looks like the main intention of creating SWR is to serve others and neglect its own divisions/districts and passengers... I really feel things would have worked fast and better for Karnataka people if there was no SWR itself ...
In the last 12-13 years of SWR, no new terminal stations/ pit lines, etc were built in SWR territory. So, every train is compulsorily made to go to divn HQ -- UBL, MYS or SBC for maint work. Who prevented them developing other towns? Now, SWR is aiming for GR not out of concern to GR public but for the freight revenue. Revenue will be siphoned out of GR/ Wadi area to development of Bengaluru area or to get some new coaches which can run to TN/ KL or to eastern states.
Totally agree for Gulbarga the story will continue... Best example is swr don't give any Tatkal quota for gr and they r happy to run empty ..in Tatkal..
