Ok so this one is stuck...now what should I do as I have one confirmed ticket in 1A...can I buy an unreserved ticket and talk to TT and adjust both on the same seat.

Well, whether it is a tip or not depends on the reader.
Not all members are as experienced and knowledgeable and / experienced about Indian Railways and the various Railway Stations.
