I think they are doing pretty great in finding a job for themselves.. ;)
I think this could be one of the reason SWR is going too slow intentionally on YNK-DMM electrification.. because if it completes.. KJM boys may find some difficulty in finding their work.. :) though OHE wire is laid all along.. no supply due to no sub stations..
Your reason made me to think of an similar case. Is this the reason why Pune-DD electrification is going slow as Pune Alcos would loose their jobs. :/ :P
Hahaha.. I was just joking... but we cannot rule out.. actually for KJM.. there is no danger in near future.. the most busiest route from SBC/YPR towards Tumkur.. entire line is non electrified..
I guess, they will be converted to Electrical LP's after training or used for shunting duties once the route is electrified.
