Soon To change the name of Kakinada Town Rly Station as ‪#‎KakinadaCity‬. This has to be cleared by Ministry of Home Affairs soon .
Proposed and discussed several developmental issues related to Our region in the 70th ZRUCC Meeting held on 30th March at Secunderabad.
1. To take up Coastal Railwayline by the side of NH 216 i.e connecting Kakinada-Amalapuram-Narsapuram-Bhimavaram-Machilip...

atnam-Repalle-Nizampatnam-Bapatla. This will not only connect the Ports of Kakinada,Machilipatnam and Nizampatnam but also reduces the distance between Chennai -Visakhapatnam. This will augment the growth of Godavari,Krishna region in All respects.. Industrial,Agricultural, Oil& Gas, Shipping, Tourism and more particularly for Passenger transport.
2. To reduce online booking charges for the Passengers to motivate them for online booking thus reducing pressure at Rly booking counters.
3. To change the name of Kakinada Town Rly Station as Kakinada City. This has to be cleared by Ministry of Home Affairs.
4. Regarding ROB s in Kakinada the officials replied me that Kondaiah Palem ROB Rly part is over and it's R&B has to complete approaches.
Regarding ROB at Port Rly Stn-Yetimoga and Sarpavaram ROB Approvals were already given.
5. Regarding Kotipalli-Narsapuram the Geo technical investigation by RITES is going on for the 3river bridges and for Kda-Pithapuram Rly Board's sanction for the revised estimates is awaited.
6. Regarding the halts to various trains at Samalkot, introduction of new trains from Kakinada and increase of trips of various trains will be taken up with Rly Board.
All these years what I understand is continuous monitoring of issues will definitely get results and the lobbying&pressure of our people's representatives is crucial.
