I am sorry I failed to take note of the last line of the post. Thanks to Sri Amjad Ali Khan also who prompted me immediately by private post, that the credit should go to Sri.Nazeer. Thank you Nazeer for excellent narration based on personal experience.
I want further add that If you book Bike by Parcel. You have to collect it from destination Parcel Office within 6 hours of train arrival ( For Early Morning Trains, this timer starts form office opening time i.e. 9 AM). Afetr that Rs 10/hour penalty would be charged. Railway has no system to inform the recipient about the arrival of the Bike/Scooter.
One more point to note, If you book to intermediate station you should get it unloaded by arranging with porter before the arrival of the train, for that you must have some one at the delivery station , otherwise it may over carried. If , you book up to destination no unloading problem but you have to arrange to bring the M/C to the parcel delivery section. They know very well about your need and make money.
