Here are seven rail routes in India that have double-decker trains:
1. Ahmedabad-Mumbai: The first superfast AC double-decker train ran between Ahmedabad Junction and Mumbai Central in September 2012. The train generally takes 7 hours to complete 493 kilometres between the two cities.
2. Howrah-Dhanbad: The first ever double-decker train was flagged off from Howrah to Dhanbad. The service started on October 1 in 2011. With the launch of this train, India became the third country after USA and England to operate double-decker trains. It covers 259 kilometres in around 5 hours....
