In my recent travel during September 2017, I was told by a co-passenger that even 18030/29 Shalimar LTTr Kurla Express has better cleanliness that this legend named Gitanjali Express, as he'd traveled in 12859 from Mumbai to Howrah & while returning Mumbai he opted 18030 over 12860! I myself couldn't believe & I'm taking about Sleeper Class so don't be disheartened for now.

Coach was 2003 made, maintenance was decent, regular cleaning was done and was punctual throughout.
